Southern Oregon's Rogue Valley has a reputation for culture, starting with the annual Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. The area is also a favorite among campers, hikers, river-rafters and wine-glass swirlers. Until 2007, golf wasn't much of a factor, but Centennial Golf Club, which opened in Medford in May of 2007 changed things.
You'll now find a variety of golf options surrounding the region's largest city, Medford. The area sits in the Rogue Valley between the Cascade Mountain Range and Siskiyou Mountains. As a result, the climate is drier than most of western Oregon, and it's sunnier than the Willamette Valley, making for ideal golf conditions for much of the year.
With choices ranging from public courses to Country Club Courses the area’s golf offers challenges for players of all skill levels. With so many quality courses and resorts to choose from, it’s easy to see why southern Oregon is quickly becoming known for it’s golfing opportunities.
